“If every child has a tablet, what happens to the teacher?”
It’s a fair question.
At first glance, MsingiTek can look like technology replacing teaching. The reality is the opposite.
In many of the classrooms where we work, one teacher is responsible for 50, 100, sometimes even 200 learners. No matter how skilled that teacher is, it’s impossible to give every child individual attention during every lesson.
That’s where the tablet comes in.
The tablet doesn’t replace the teacher—it delivers individual instruction, allowing every learner to progress at their own pace. Meanwhile, something remarkable happens to the teacher’s role.
Instead of standing at the front of the classroom teaching one lesson to everyone, the teacher moves through the classroom, observing where learning is happening and stepping in where learning has stopped.
In fact, one of the best places to facilitate learning is often at the back of the classroom. From there, the teacher can see every learner, every screen and every moment when a child needs encouragement, clarification or support.
