The Tanza Accelerator is a structured leadership development program for our leaders at Program Manager level and above. Participants develop while working in full-time, substantive roles with responsibility for real teams, programs and results. Read more >

Here is what sets our accelerator apart:

Build owners. Not observers.

In our Fellowship, theory is only the starting point. What matters is seeing leadership behaviours in practice – discipline, ownership, and a relentless focus on results.

We build leaders who don’t just understand how a system should work, but who can make it work consistently, at scale, and under real-world pressure.

Learning is grounded in practice through field time, live operations, and repeated application – so these behaviours are not taught, but ingrained.

Take toolkits. Own outcomes.

Leaders are not asked to invent tools or build systems. Programs, toolkits, and systems are provided by us and our partners, designed to enable high-quality implementation at scale.

The focus is on execution: how to make these programs, tools and systems work at their best in real environments. This means building strong teams, solving field-level challenges, and delivering results while protecting core standards.

Ownership comes not from designing the model, but from how effectively it is used.

Don’t isolate. Integrate.

Successful implementation needs to work within the realities of government systems.

We want our leaders to learn to work alongside the government, with long-term sustainability and ownership in mind. This means understanding the system around a program, building strong relationships, keeping implementation practical and cost-conscious, and strengthening rather than bypassing existing capacity.

The goal is not simply to deliver well today, but to build something that lasts.

Learn fast. Improve faster.

We believe that strong implementation requires continuous learning.

Our leaders work with established toolkits and program models. Their role is not simply to complete activities, but to keep asking whether those activities are leading to better learning for children.

When something gets in the way, they bring clear observations to our program partners so that together, we can understand the barrier, agree on what to do, and strengthen delivery.

This cycle of applying, reflecting, sharing, and improving sits at the heart of Tanza.
