Our field lab for high-quality implementation
Schools do not experience programs in isolation. Teachers experience them together—alongside everything else already expected of them.
Our field lab therefore has three purposes: to learn how to deliver different programs consistently well; understand how new interventions can work from the perspective of the school; and develop leaders who can turn those lessons into strong, practical delivery.
Through this, we hope to better understand how strong delivery can help schools systematically overcome barriers to foundational literacy and numeracy—without adding unnecessary complexity for the teachers and the government systems responsible for making it happen.
Our journey has started with MsingiTek. Over time, we hope to learn from a small number of carefully selected programs addressing different parts of the foundational learning challenge.
Programs
MsingiTek
MsingiTek is a tablet-based foundational learning program provided by our partner Imagine Worldwide for students in Standards 1–3. Students learn at their own level, progressing through structured content towards mastery in foundational literacy and numeracy. It offers a practical response to resource constraints, creating dedicated individualized learning time for every child, even in large classrooms.
Our role is to support strong implementation while building the government capacity required for long-term ownership. In doing so, we are learning what it takes to embed a novel EdTech program into the everyday rhythms of a school—from timetables, teacher and student routines, and consistent usage to security, repairs, data, and the care and traceability of high-value equipment.
The goal is for MsingiTek to become part of how a school works, rather than an additional activity sitting alongside it.
